CastleChafer On April 22nd 2016 we have been invited to Drayton Manor Hotel in Tamworth UK for the launch of the Bunzl Lockhart 2016 Catalogue, circulated to 250,00 catering professionals. We are one of only four suppliers selected from the hundreds that Bunzl Lockhart are involved with so we are delighted to attend. This meeting is for all Bunzl Lockhart Sales Teams and is aimed at Innovative Products that Bunzl Lockhart believe will be market leaders this year. We will let you know how we got on.
In the Irish market, we are very pleased to announce Hugh Jordan Ltd have signed up to be our exclusive distributors for All Ireland.
We are also pleased to announce that Bunzl Lockhart are now our exclusive distributors in the UK excluding Northern Ireland.

Carlow-based company, CBL Equipment, has been awarded one of the top accolades at Food & Hospitality Ireland 2015 – one of Ireland’s foremost retail, food and hospitality events – for its ‘Castle Chafer’ product, a newly patented waterless chafing dish.
Competing against 50 products and services from exhibitors in the food and hospitality sectors, CBL Equipment was named as the Food & Hospitality Ireland Product of the Show by an independent panel of judges that included Bruce Langlands, Director of Food at Harrods and Kim Leonard, Manager of the Restaurant Association of Ireland (RAI).
The Judges were looking for all-round excellence among the exhibitors’ products in categories such as catering equipment, food & drink and technology.
James Kearney, Founder of CBL Equipment, said: “CBL Equipment is thrilled to receive the award for the Food & Hospitality Ireland Product of the Show for our ‘Castle Chafer’ product. All of the finalists were of such a high standard and it’s wonderful to see the exciting new innovations coming from Irish companies in the food and hospitality sector.”
Other companies announced as finalists included Hugh Jordan Ltd, Martin Food Equipment and Nutritics.

Food & Hospitality Ireland took place on the 16th and 17thth September at the Citywest Events Centre. Thousands of visitors attended the event to view products and services from over 100 companies.

The chafing dish –that raised, silver dish so ubiquitous at buffets where food needs to be kept warm – has been used in catering for more than 100 years with little to no improvements. In efficiency terms, it lags behind, costing on average €1.20 per hour to operate.
However, CBL Equipment has unveiled the Castle Chafer, which has reduced the running
cost to between 20 cent and 25 cent per hour.
